Our Programs

Lifeline serves New Orleans through five community-driven programs — each one designed to meet our neighbors where they are.

Rebuild NOLA Homes

When storms hit New Orleans, the damage doesn't end when the skies clear. Rebuild NOLA Homes supports families recovering from storm damage by connecting them with licensed contractors, donated materials, and volunteer labor to repair roofs, fix plumbing, restore electrical systems, and rebuild essential home infrastructure. We prioritize elderly homeowners, single-parent households, and families without insurance — because everyone deserves a safe place to come home to.

Feed the French Quarter

The French Quarter is the heart of New Orleans — but behind the music and lights, hundreds of unhoused residents and low-income families struggle to find their next meal. Feed the French Quarter operates weekly meal distribution events in central New Orleans, serving hot, nutritious food prepared by volunteer chefs and local restaurant partners. We also maintain a network of community fridges stocked with fresh produce, dairy, and prepared meals available 24/7.

Youth Music & Arts Fund

New Orleans runs on music — and the next generation of musicians, artists, and performers deserves every chance to carry that legacy forward. The Youth Music & Arts Fund helps local kids access instruments, private lessons, and after-school arts programs that honor the city's deep musical heritage. From brass band workshops in the Tremé to visual arts studios in the Bywater, we invest in young talent across every neighborhood and every art form.

Community Storm Preparedness Kits

Hurricane season is a fact of life in South Louisiana, but being prepared shouldn't depend on your income. Community Storm Preparedness Kits provides free emergency supply kits to vulnerable residents ahead of each hurricane season — including water, non-perishable food, flashlights, batteries, first aid supplies, important document protectors, and emergency contact cards. We partner with local churches, community centers, and neighborhood associations to distribute kits where they're needed most.

Neighborhood Cleanup & Beautification

A clean, beautiful neighborhood changes everything — it builds pride, deters crime, and brings people together. Our Cleanup & Beautification program organizes volunteer-led efforts to clean streets, plant trees, restore neglected public spaces, and transform vacant lots into community gardens. Every month, we host neighborhood cleanup days across New Orleans, bringing together residents, local businesses, and city partners to make our blocks shine.
